Functional Medicine & Longevity
A structured way of understanding how symptoms, history, physiology, and daily life interact and turning that understanding into a plan you can actually follow. Testing plays a role when it's useful, not by default.
What Functional Medicine Means Here
Functional medicine looks at the body as a set of interconnected systems rather than isolated complaints. The goal isn't to run the most tests or find a single root cause it's to identify which few things are actually driving what you're experiencing, and build a plan around those.
My approach combines this systems view with Traditional Chinese medicine pattern recognition two lenses on the same person, used together.
Areas Commonly Supported
Digestion and metabolic health — gut function, blood sugar regulation, and how digestion affects energy and inflammation
Hormonal balance — patterns related to stress hormones, thyroid function, and reproductive hormones, coordinated with other licensed providers where relevant
Sleep and stress physiology — sleep quality and the stress patterns that disrupt it
Energy and recovery — understanding what's depleting your energy and what genuinely restores it
Longevity — building habits and strategies with long-term healthspan in mind

How Testing Decisions Get Made:
Not every client needs new lab testing. Before recommending any test, the question is simple: is this result likely to change a real decision? If the answer is yes, testing can clarify things meaningfully. If the answer is unclear, we typically start with what we already know, or use a more foundational measure first.
Testing can also be staged one or two panels now, more later only if warranted — rather than run all at once.

The Two Paths
Every relationship starts with a Comprehensive Health Review. From there:
Foundational Path — if your Review gives us what we need, we move directly into ongoing care.
Functional Medicine Diagnostic Path — if a specific question calls for testing, we build a targeted plan and schedule a separate Findings & Strategy Visit once results are in.
